REGISTRATION STEPS
#1 - AEC Survey - link sent in a separate email
This profile is meant to be completed by the student, not the parent or guardian. JVA is designated as an Alternative Education Campus (AEC) by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). This designation requires that a percentage of our students fall into at least one of the at-risk categories and helps us meet the needs of JVA students. Questions in this application help determine the programming needed to best serve our students. Contact [email protected] if you did not receive the email with the link to the survey.
Admission into JVA is in no way tied to students having any at-risk factors. This information helps us serve students and families and all information remains confidential and will only be used to support student success.
#2 - State of Colorado Proof of Residency & Family Economic Survey Submission
Each year online schools are required to collect a Proof of Residency statement for our enrolled full time students. The Colorado Department of Education has required us to change our process this year. For the 2021-2022 school year the Proof of Residency affidavit and the Family Economic survey will be sent to all full time student’s parents or guardians via email. Parents/Guardians will be required to download, print and sign the form and return it to Jeffco Virtual. We will provide the link in our email for you to submit your form(s) via the internet. If you do not have access to a device to photograph or scan your documents, you will be allowed to fax your form(s) to 303-982-9546 or send them back to JVA via US mail or hand deliver it to Jeffco Virtual Academy 1505 S. Pierson Street, Lakewood, CO 80232.

#5 - Financial Assistance for Loaner Laptop/Internet Service (if applicable)
Families need to apply/re-apply for this program every school year.
Financial Assistance Information & Instructions
There is assistance for loaner laptops and internet service for families who qualify. Full-time families may receive both options, part-time families may receive one or the other. If you need to request financial assistance for the 2021-2022 school year, you will be required to complete the Family Economic Survey (English & Spanish) to determine if you qualify.
If you would like to request a loaner laptop, please contact our main office at 303-982-6770. We will get you the required forms to complete and make a determination of your qualification for this program. If you meet the qualifications, we will make arrangements for you to pick up your laptop at our offices for the 2021-2022 school year. Students must have completed the enrollment process to apply for a loaner laptop.
Thank you for Registering for the 2021-2022 school year!
